STORY OF HIDDEN CHAIN...

In this comic, there're some terms that you have to know that will make you more understand about the story or the comic itself. Below are some special terms that are in the comic. Read them all if you're interested.  You'll understand more about Hidden Chain world if you read these.  ^.^  Btw.. please excuse my bad/poor grammars... T__T  maybe someone wants to volunteer to be the script checker? I'd appreciate it very much~
 

The 4 Elements - These based on the 4 basic elements; Fire, Water, Air and Earth. Everyone in the world of this Hidden Chain comic has their own element and their element is determined by their birthday and zodiac. If they're Aries, Leo or Sagittarius, they are Fire people. If they're Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces, they're Water people. If they're Gemini, Libra or Aquarius, they're Air people. If they're Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn, they're Earth people.
Elemental Spirit (s) - Each of the Element has spirits besides human. These Spirits are alive and can be in many forms but they won't be in human form (since human already have an element within them). They can be spirit monsters or cute looking creature. But even though they look cute, but all these Spirits are not good.. They bother human's lives by making these human uneasy of their presence. To avoid this, only The Elemental Keeper Organization (TEKO) can capture them. These Spirits are divided into 3 categories; 
  • Weak Spirits - Won't attack and don't know how to guard themselves. Can be captured by Elemental Assistants or Elemental Possessors, but usually Elemental Assistants will do the job.
     
  • Normal Spirits - Can attack and guard themselves. Can be captured by Elemental Assistants or Elemental Possessors.
     
  • Advanced Spirits - Same as Normal Spirits; can attack and guard themselves. But they have at least one special ability. They also are the only kind which can be invisible. But when they want to attack, they can't go invisible. Because of all these, that's why only Elemental Possessors are the only ones who can capture this kind of Spirits. (but this kind of Spirits are seldom to be found.)
The Elemental Keeper Organization (TEKO) - To keep the Elemental Spirits that have been captured, a kind of organization  is established in every states in any country, which is called The Elemental Keeper Organization or TEKO. TEKO is divided into 4 divisions; Fire Division, Water Division, Air Division and Earth Division. In TEKO, there are some important positions:
  • The Administration - The board of organizers of TEKO. Along time ago, there was a group of scholars studying the 4 Elements. They found out how to avoid these Elemental Spirits from keep bothering human, so they form TEKO. And after that, it becomes a tradition to pass down the elemental power to the next generation in almost all countries. Most of the members of the Admin are those who had retired from their job as Elemental Possessors...
     
  • Elemental Possessors - The highest position in each division. Each division will have only one Elemental Possessor; which are Fire Possessor, Water Possessor, Air Possessor and Earth Possessor. Let's just say that they are the leader in their divisions. Only these Possessors bear the power of the elements within them because they are the only one with the highest element amount in their body who can endure to possess the elemental power. The duration work of Elemental Possessors is 10 years, according to the Contract of Possessors.
     
  • Elemental Assistants - Each division has its own Elemental Assistants, but they can be many; Fire Assistants, Water Assistants, Air Assistants and Earth Assistants. Different from the Elemental Possessors, these Assistants didn't possess any elemental power. Their  power only comes from their weapons or accessories that has some elemental power within, but not too great as the power of the Elemental Possessors.
     
  • There are some other positions that help the organization such as Researchers, Garments Maker, Blacksmith.. etc..
Possessors' Inheritors Game - The game is organized by TEKO to choose the most suitable person to inherit the next Elemental Possessor position. The game will be held once in 7 years. The candidates must be children/teenagers age from 14 to 16 years old because TEKO wants the strong power of youths.
In this game, there are 4 divisions. Example, Fire division for all Fire candidates.
All candidates in each division will be tested in aspects of mind and also physical (but mostly in physical). In the final round,  each division will choose two best candidates and after that, the two will compete. The winner will be the new Elemental Possessor. The new Elemental Possessor has to follow the Contract of Possessors.
Meanwhile, although there is only one position of Elemental Possessor for each division, but other candidates that are good enough will be recommended to work in Elemental Keeper as any suitable position, maybe such as Researchers or Blacksmith and etc...


Vessel - In order to become a Possessor, the candidates must train their elemental status so that when they win the Possessors' Inheritors Game and become a Possessor, he/she will be the Vessel. The Vessel here means the vessel for the elemental power the he/she is going to receive when they captured/absorbed a Spirit. So let's say the Possessors have the strongest elemental status among the other people aren't a Possessor....
Contract of Possessors - Before someone wants to enter the Possessors' Inheritor Game, he has to know the Contract of Possessors first. Once you become an Elemental Possessor, there are some important things you have to follow. But the most important thing is:

"Can't be married during the 10 years work. This is because all the power and concentration of a Possessor have to be focused only to work because it's important in capturing Spirits, as well as guarding the elemental power that has been possessed within the Possessor's body. A Possessor can still find a soul mate during this time, but marriage is forbidden until the 10 years duration has passed and the position has been taken over by the new Possessor."

 This thing is also one of the reasons why the candidates must be in between 14 to 16, so that after 10 years, they're not too old to get married....or maybe not to old to start finding a soul mate...  *sweat*
